New Carpa Theater: Right Turns

" New Carpa Theater Co. is a Valley-based nonprofit that stages Latino and multicultural works. "Right Turns" is written by ASU Professor Julie Amparano Garcia and directed by James E. Amparano Garcia. Previously staged at the Herberger Theater Center, "Right Turns," featuring James Rivas and Dilcia Yanez, depicts a heart-felt, humorous relationship between a daughter and father, and the challenging balancing act of work and family. Miranda is late, again, and her boss needs her promotion file today, which could determine whether she makes partner in the prestigious law firm. But what about her father, who needs to get to this radiation treatment? Determined to do both, Miranda finds herself unraveling while driving her father to his appointment.
