Season continues on January 12th with the Phoenix Opera
Surprise, AZ (December 16, 2016) – The City of Surprise in collaboration with the West Valley Arts Council and Theater Works will continue the 2017 Lunchtime Theater season on January 12th. Featuring multiple lunchtime performances to be held in the beautiful 2,500 square foot Arts HQ gallery. 2017 performances include:
- January 12, 2017: The Sound of Music – Enjoy Vienna’s world of Opperetta Italy’s Neapolitan songs, the sizzle of NY’s Broadway and the passion of the grand opera with the Phoenix Opera.
- January 19, 2017: “3 No Trump” – Theater Works presents a comedy about a game of cards and enduring friendship and devotion.
- February 9, 2017: Jam Session – with Maestro Kellogg and Friends presented by the West Valley Symphony
- February 23, 2017: “Sunday in the Park with George”- Theater Works presents a Broadway hit with music by Stephen Sondheim merges the past and present, offering poignant truths about life, love and art.
Due to the popularity of Lunchtime Theater, each show will offer two performances. The first performance will begin at 11:30am and the second performance will begin at 1:30pm, at the Arts HQ, 16126 N. Civic Center Plaza, Surprise, AZ. The doors for the second showing will not open until 1:00pm. Tickets are $10 for each performance. Reservations are required. To reserve your tickets, please call the West Valley Arts Council at 623.935.6384. Each performance will be 45-50 minutes long.
Attendees are welcome to bring their own lunch or they can pre-order one from the City Café @ Surprise. To place a lunch order, please contact the City Café @ Surprise at 623.222.8900. Lunch orders from the City Café @ Surprise will be delivered to the Arts HQ before the performance.
