Covid-19

Visitor Guidelines

We can’t wait to welcome you back to West Valley Arts! Our goal is to provide visitors with a safe and pleasant gallery experience in an atmosphere that is conducive to viewing art, studying, and relaxing. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, we've added some additional precautions to help safeguard our staff and visitors. The Gallery requires compliance with the following guidelines.

COVID-19 Code of Conduct

Join us in protecting the health of our community. We ask that guests follow these enhanced safety precautions, developed in response to COVID-19. Under the weather? Take care, stay home, feel better soon. Masks are mandatory for all visitors age 3 and older. Maintain social distance. Stay six feet apart from others. Follow distancing signage. Daily gallery attendance is limited to 25% of total capacity. Wash or sanitize your hands frequently. Sanitizer dispensers are located within the gallery. No food or drink in the galleries. Keep moving through the gallery. Please don’t gather or linger in one area — transmission risk (including asymptomatic transmission) increases with prolonged exposure within an enclosed space. Any behavior or activity that disrupts the safe or orderly use of the gallery, or that affects the staff’s ability to provide services, is prohibited. Please treat each other and our staff with respect — no profanity and/or engaging in rude, inconsiderate, or abusive behavior. We can all use a little kindness. Visitors not following the COVID-19 Code of Conduct will be asked to leave, as will guests who engage in behavior outlined below under “Grounds For Immediate Ejection From the HQ Arts Gallery.”

Tickets

All visitors (including members and visitors 18 and under, who always receive free admission) require a ticket so we can ensure the gallery does not exceed capacity. Order timed tickets in advance for all members of your party so everyone can enter the galleries at the same time. Tickets for visitors can be booked online in. Please note that only a limited number of tickets will be available each day at the ticketing desk and availability is not guaranteed; we strongly encourage all visitors to reserve tickets online. Contact [email protected] or 415.357.4000 with any questions. Members can contact [email protected] or call 415.357.4135.
