FAMOUS ARTIST Patricia Bohannon
Patricia Bohannon, is a visual artist, born and raised in Chicago, Illinois, who has always been blessed with and motivated by the God-presence within to create works of art. Patricia worked in the commercial art field as a graphic artist and sign painter, married and raised two children, and in 1985, went back to school and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Secondary Art Education from Chicago State University, graduating with high honors. After graduating Patricia worked as an Art Instructor for the Chicago Public School System. Since retiring in 2010, she spends her time creating art in various genres.
Patricia has been a member of several professional organizations and featured in local publications throughout her career. Three woks from her Visual Odes series was featured in the February 2020 African-America History Edition Unity Magazine. Some of her collectors include Astronaut, Dr. Mae C. Jemison, Baseball great, Dave Winfield and Civil Rights Activist and Entrepreneur, Hank Thomas. Patricia Bohannon currently resides in Goodyear, Arizona where her art continues to evolve. Her paintings employ a rich color pallet that result in vibrant abstract paints, and her Mixed Media sculptures are recognized for their faux bronze finishings.
