IMPRINT: Elevating Cultural Diversity in the Arts is a series of annual exhibitions, workshops, lectures, and celebrations recognizing artists of color in and around the valley. We believe artists of color have made significant and positive contributions to our collective culture and communities through the arts. West Valley Arts Council seeks to highlight those impressions through ongoing activities and opportunities to engage with diverse perspectives, places, and heritage.
Through the IMPRINT program, WVAC also seeks to provide equitable access to resources and opportunities for BIPOC artists and organizations in support of our DEI initiatives. We believe that cultural equity means full inclusion, participation, and resource-sharing in all of our communities and institutions.
West Valley Arts Council’s IMPRINT Festival was a comprehensive multicultural celebration providing a unique opportunity to be immersed in the richness and beauty of the diverse cultures existing in and around the West Valley.
The one-day event featured performances, music, live demonstrations, storytelling, visual arts, outdoor market, food trucks AND raffle prizes! The community engaged with culturally rooted activities while learning historical context and significance.
